Orders

When you place an order we collect your name, email, postal address and phone number to process and fulfil it. We do not store card details — payments are handled by external PCI-compliant gateways over encrypted connections.

Our Products

MegaPoints products automatically contact our servers when checking for or downloading firmware updates. When this happens, basic device and network information is sent, including a device identifier, product type, software version and IP address. We use this only to operate and improve our products. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Sharing

We do not sell or transfer your personal information to third parties. Device data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and geographic lookups are provided by ip-api.com, both acting as processors on our behalf.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to remember your shopping cart and preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work correctly.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Order information is kept as long as needed to support your purchase and meet legal requirements. Device data is retained to track long-term product trends. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Other

MegaPoints Controllers Warranty Statement

Thank you for purchasing our model railway products. We are committed to ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. To support this commitment, we offer the following warranty:

Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers parts and labour required to repair any defects in materials or workmanship of our model railway products.

  • The warranty is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • The warranty applies only to products purchased directly from us.

Return to Base Warranty

This is a Return to Base Warranty: the customer is responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to our designated service centre.

To initiate a return, customers must obtain a Returns Number by contacting our customer service team via email. This Returns Number must be clearly visible on the return address label.

Warranty Conditions

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement (at our discretion) of defective parts or products. It does not cover any associated costs such as transportation, handling, or loss of use.

Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s sole responsibility to determine if the product is fit for their intended use. This warranty does not imply that the product is fit for any particular purpose or usage.

The warranty will be invalidated if the product is damaged due to misuse, mishandling, or application of incorrect power supply or if the product has been modified.

Exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear, misuse, or accidental damage.
  • Repairs or modifications carried out by anyone other than our authorised service personnel.
  • Use of the product for any purpose other than its intended use.
  • The application of an incorrect or unstable power supply.

Additional Legal Rights

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. As a consumer, you have the right to expect goods to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If our product fails to meet these criteria, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
